What travel documents would I need?

What are the health requirements?

Proof of Yellow Fever vaccination is required upon entry into Ghana. We recommend visiting your healthcare provider for malaria prevention and travel immunizations at least 4–6 weeks before departure.

The local currency is the Ghanaian Cedi (GHS). U.S. dollars are accepted in some locations, but local cash is recommended for markets and small vendors. ATMs are widely available in Accra; credit cards are accepted at most hotels and major restaurants.
Whats the weather like? What type of clothing should I pack?

Ghana’s climate is tropical—warm and humid. Its recommended to pack light, and breathable clothing. We encourage you to pack comfortable shoes for walking tours and cultural excursions. Lastly we suggest packing a light jacket for cooler evenings or air-conditioned venues.
